Goals!

No not like in soccer or hockey, but in life.  My goal is to get down to 200 pounds.  That means I have to lose about 130 pounds.  I wish it was as easy to lose weight as it was to gain it.  Okay to accomplish this goal I have to change at least two things in my life.  I have to exercise more and eat less.  Exercise brings back calisthenics from the military and that is not all of what I want to do.  Back in February I started getting up and walking up to 4 miles a day, then I cut back to 2 miles a day but at a faster pace.  For a while that was exciting and new, but now the newness has worn off.  Plus the fact is that I was getting up at 3:30 in the morning to do it, and I am not a morning person.  The other down side is that I am missing out on stuff in the evening with Ruth Ann and the boys because I have to go to bed so early.  So I need to consider my work schedule, my mass transit ride and a couple of other things to figure out when I want to walk.  I would really rather ride a bicycle than walk but they are pretty spendy these days.  The only motivation to keep walking is to be around to see life continue and spend more time with Ruth Ann, Dukkie and David and friends.  But I have to adjust my schedule to do it.  To be continued.
