Wednesday Wanderings

Two of my favorite people are Zach and Amanda Banker.  We serve together on the Event Team at church, cooking for groups from 30-1,500.  Zach and Amanda facilitate our  life group and are just some of our best friends.  Yesterday Amanda and I went west to Sheridan and visited the Pleasant Hill Pioneer Cemetery.  The cemetery is in the front  yard of  a distant relative of mine, and my great, great Grandfather John Metzker, a wagon train captain is buried there.  Amanda is a history buff and has been visiting Metros’ 14 Pioneer so we decided to visit one with a personal connection.  We had a great time with Jerry Smith, whose front yard the cemetery is in, he had stories about the whole valley and about everyone buried there.  All of those is in introduction to Amandas’ blog little by little, one travels far, Amanda is one of the blogs that I check every day.

That is one of my all time favorite pictures of us! Thanks for the blurb!

Ironically I am wearing that exact outfit at this moment.
