Island World, A History of Hawai’i and the United States by Gary Y. Okihiro

American cheered the founding of the London Missionary Society in 1795 and followed closely the news of it’s evangelizing efforts in Asia and the Pacific.
We lived in Hawai’i from 1958-1962 and both my sisters were born there and we lived there when it became a state.  I am looking forward to reading this and learning more about the state that gave us McGarrett, Kidman, Magnum and Obama.  Oh and Luann and Melodie.
