There is one friend of mine that doesn’t care when I get home, how tired I am, how little I want to see him. He is always excited to see and always wants to play. A couple of years ago we promised David that he met a certain goal we would buy him a dog. He decided on a blue heeler, we decided to get one from a breeder in Denver. On the appointed day Daver and I drove to SeaTac to pick up the puppie, we waited for awhile and when the plane arrived and the dog wasn’t there we called and found out that the airline hadn’t allowed the dog on the plane because they said it was too cold at cruising altitude. Really, really downhearted we returned to Portland to await word on when we could get our dog. We arranged another trip and went to wait for the breeders’ nephew in Tacoma, we waited several hours and no call, this time the plane had mechanical difficulty and sat on the runway in Denver for three hours before even taking off. We were traveling in our van with Phil Smouse, so we went shopping at the Tacoma Mall, took a nap in the van, checked out a comic book store, Phil and Dave went and played video games at a Trade and Play and I did what comes naturally, I read. We went to SeaTac and met the nephew and the very scared puppy. David had already decided to name him Sitheil, which is Scottish Gaelic for Peace. We call him Sith and he had become a part of the family.
