In this review, I stated that I worked in a building that was designed by A.E. Doyle, but I was wrong the building was actually designed by Ellis F. Lawrence.  Lawrence may not have designed as many important buildings in Portland, but a lot of his buildings seem to have survived.  Lawrence is the architect that designed the buildings that give the University of Oregon it’s character and he was the founding dean of the U of O School of Architecture.  Looking at the picture of what is now the Title Wave it looks a little different.  The book is actually a collection of essays for a retrospective of Lawrence’s’ work for the school of Architecture and is very technical and jargon filled.  This is an important work for architecture students and architectural historians.  For the laymen the pictures may be the best part.  Grade-C+
