			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<!--Amazon_CLS_IM_START--><p><a rel="attachment wp-att-1843" href="http://www.readerman.net/201003_1842/dscf0185-2/"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-1843" title="DSCF0185" src="http://www.readerman.net/wp-content/uploads/DSCF01851.jpg" alt="" width="200" height="264" /></a>There is one friend of mine that doesn’t care when I get home, how tired  I am, how little I want to see him.  He is always excited to see and  always wants to play.    A couple of years ago we promised David that he  met a certain goal we would buy him a dog.  He decided on a<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_heeler"> blue heeler</a>, we  decided to get one from a breeder in Denver.  On the appointed day Daver  and I drove to SeaTac to pick up the puppie, we waited for awhile and  when the plane arrived and the dog wasn’t there we called and found out  that the airline hadn’t allowed the dog on the plane because they said  it was too cold at cruising altitude.  Really, really downhearted we  returned to Portland to await word on when we could get our dog.  We  arranged another trip and went to wait for the breeders’ nephew in  Tacoma, we waited several hours and no call, this time the plane had  mechanical difficulty and sat on the runway in Denver for three hours  before even taking off.  We were traveling in our van with Phil Smouse,  so we went shopping at the Tacoma Mall, took a nap in the van, checked  out a comic book store, Phil and Dave went and played video games at a  Trade and Play and I did what comes naturally, I read.  We went to  SeaTac and met the nephew and the very scared puppy.  David had already  decided to name him Sitheil, which is Scottish Gaelic for Peace.  We  call him Sith and he had become a part of the family.</p>
